I've been blogging for a little over four years now which is so crazy to think! It's gone so fast and I never thought I'd be able to keep it up but I love it so much and wouldn't change anything about it. I thought it'd be nice to share with you what blogging means to me since I've been doing it for so long, so here goes!

Sunday, 17 December 2017

Christmas is only 8 days away!!!! Oh my god. I can't believe that another year is nearly over. It's gone so fast and I've achieved so much! Now that we're nearing 2018 I've been thinking about my goals for the new years and my bucket list of things I want to achieve. I loved writing my post last year so thought I'd review my 2017 bucket list before sharing with you my one for 2018 .. so here goes.

Saturday, 16 December 2017

Christmas is all about sharing the love and giving back and I want to do just that. Earlier this week I went with colleagues to visit some residents at one of the local Care Homes in Leeds to spend some time with them and give them all some treats. It's so important to share the love and that's what I'm doing today by sharing with you my favourite bloggers of 2017!

Friday, 15 December 2017

We're halfway through December and it's time to get organised for 2018! I love this time of year and am naturally an organised person so love making lists of goals for the New Year and putting important dates in my 2018 diary. I always have a new found motivation towards the end of the year as I get myself in the mindset for a New Year, New Start and so today I thought I'd share with you how I'm getting organised for 2018.

Thursday, 14 December 2017

I listen to music every day of the week and it's almost like a therapy for me because it can seriously improve my mood straight away. I love listening to and discovering different artists so thought since I found out my 2017 wrapped on Spotify I would share with you my top 15 songs of 2017.

Wednesday, 13 December 2017

Today's post is all about my top beauty products of 2017! I love reading posts like this and it always makes me want to run out and buy lots of new stuff - which is probably why it was so hard to pick just 10 favourites! As we're coming to the end of 2017 I sat down yesterday morning to go through my beauty items and assess which brands I've loved and which products have stood out to me, so let's get started!

Tuesday, 12 December 2017

I love this time of year. It's so magical and everyone is happy and spending time with their loved ones. There is no better feeling than drinking fizz by the Christmas Tree and listening to Christmas songs or watching Christmassy movies. It's just the perfect time of year and I love everything about it. I thought today I'd share with you my favourite things about Christmas!

Monday, 11 December 2017

We're officially well into the festive season now, which means the festive makeup has surfaced again. I absolutely LOVE this time of year. If you follow me on twitter you'll know how Christmassy I feel. Anyway, I love everything about the festive season, particularly the makeup so I thought with the work Christmas party coming up I would talk you through what's in my makeup bag during the festive season.

To start off my base I use my Benefit Porefessional Primer. This stuff is amazing. It has a balm like texture and makes your skin feel super soft. I love applying this before my makeup as it helps to minimise my pores and helps my makeup glide on.

For concealer I always reach for my trustee Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. I am obsessed with this stuff. It's part of my everyday makeup and even though I've tried numerous other concealers, I always go back to this one. It is really creamy and hides my under eye circles really well. I love this stuff - highly recommend.

I LOVE my Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation as my choice of foundation. It's a medium coverage, but it's buildable too and it honestly makes your skin look so flawless. I use my oval makeup brush to apply it and it blends really well. I particularly love wearing it for a night out as I've got a slightly darker shade but it looks amazing when I have a tan.

My contour powder of choice is from my Sleek contour kit. I love the colour of the powder as it's more of a dirty brown than a golden one. It applies really evenly and really helps to chisels my cheek bones (and makes me look a bit skinnier - always a winner eh?)

Putting on my favourite highlighters is probably one of my favourite parts of getting ready during the party season. I love the MUA illuminator because it's a liquid based product. It's so easy to apply and looks great applied before foundation all over the face if I'm after an extra glow, or just on top of the cheekbones so that when I take lots of selfies it hits the light perfectly. I also can't not include my all time favourite bronzing highlighter; MAC Gold Deposit. I literally LOVE this stuff. I wear it all the time during the summer months but it always makes a reappearance during the festivities. It looks fabulous applied over my contour just below the highlighter as it adds even more glow.

For brows, I always use my trustee Freedom Brow Pomade. I love this stuff. It's so easy to apply and makes my brows look full and sculpted (but still natural).

Eye makeup is my favourite part of the festive makeup - apart from my highlighters obviously! I love all the glittery shades and love playing around with different colours. Before applying my eye makeup I always apply my MUA primer base which helps my shadows to last without creasing.

I love wearing gold shimmery makeup during the festive season and always reach for my I Heart Makeup Eye shadow palette.I don't think I've ever bought anything else from this brand but I remember wandering through Superdrug about a year ago and this palette caught my eye. The colours are beautiful, I can't even describe how pigmented they are and they look amazing on the eyes. I like to spray my makeup brush with some setting spray before using the shades to make them stand out even more and the result is always stunning. I would highly recommend using this palette, and you get loads of different shades too; you've got the golds, burgundy, copper shades as well as blues, greens and silver. There is something for everyone. I particularly like the fact that there is some matte brown shades too, which helps create the perfect smokey eye.

For Mascara I use my favourite L'Oreal Paradise Mascara. This stuff is AMAZING, it lengthens my lashes so much and more importantly gives me that wispy effect rather than a thick clumpy look.
To perfect the glittery eye makeup I also like to apply some lashes. I normally always reach for my all time favourite Ardell Demi Wispies, but I've recently been loving KISS lashes too. These ones are called Midnight* and are really full and fluttery - perfect for a night out on the town. Whenever I apply lashes I always use my Duo lash glue because it's the best lash glue out there, I'd be lost without it! I also apply a small winged liner using my L'Oreal Super Liner.

I feel like you can't really wear a festive makeup look without using a red lip colour, particularly with a gold eye makeup look. I don't really suit red lipstick as I have quite small lips, however I always find myself reaching for my Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 107. This is the perfect grungy berry lip colour and I think it goes really well gold glittery makeup. As an alternative to this, I do tend to reach for my all time favourite ever lipstick; L'Oreal Colour Riche in shade 604 Erotique. I don't think they sell it anymore in the satin shade, only the matte (which makes me SO sad), but it's the perfect pinky nude shade and looks stunning on the lips. I like to use my MAC Whirl Lip Liner to line my lips first, then apply the lipstick over the top. It's the most beautiful combination. I'll have to hunt the lipstick down because I'll be so sad if I can't get another one!!

What are your top festive party makeup picks? I'd love to know your favourites so I can get myself to Boots to buy more glittery bits.

December means Christmas is getting near and calories don't count during the month of festivities. To embrace the season I decided to make some festive Malteasers Rocky Road and without tooting my own trumpet - it was delicious! Today I'm going to share with you the recipe so you can join in too and eat delicious treats whilst sipping a hot chocolate and watching Christmas films. It's seriously such an easy recipe and would be great for Christmas parties!

Saturday, 9 December 2017

December is a month filled with lots of fun, food and festivities and that means that in my life the gym takes a backseat. In order to treat myself during the Christmas period I have decided to take part in the Party Hard, Train Harder challenge.

Friday, 8 December 2017

I often like to switch up my handbag contents and each season I like to change up my bag too. Now that we're nearing winter, I thought I'd share with you my top 5 winter handbag essentials.

Thursday, 7 December 2017

It's the 07 December and I've got the festive bug (literally!) I've been feeling pretty poorly recently but yesterday I started to feel extremely Christmassy so I thought whilst I'm in the mood I'd do the Christmas tag!

Wednesday, 6 December 2017

It's a couple of days into December now which means it's 100% acceptable to wear Christmas Jumpers every day of the week. Today I'm sharing with you some of my top picks for 2017!

Tuesday, 5 December 2017

I'm not always a morning person if I'm being honest. I struggle during the week to get out of bed on time but on a weekend I conveniently wake very early. I wish I was more of a morning person as I like to be productive and hate wasting the day (even though lying in on a weekend is sometimes just what you need). I am trying to become more of a morning person during the week; starting with trying to go to the gym in the morning rather than the evenings (let's see how this goes shall we). Anyway today I'm sharing with you my winter morning routine.

Monday, 4 December 2017

It's finally December and I'm officially on the countdown to Christmas! Who's excited?! As you might know I'm doing blogmas again this year so I'm feeling extra festive. Today's post is all about my favourite songs I've been listening to in November (and there is obviously some Christmas tunes too!)

Sunday, 3 December 2017

Christmas is just around the corner and I've already sent my wishlist to my mum & dad however I thought it'd be great to share with you what's on my list to give you some last minute inspiration! There are so many lovely things out there and I'd be happy to receive any of them. For me Christmas is about spending time with your loved ones and now that I'm older I definitely find it more enjoyable spending my money buying for other people - there is nothing  better than seeing people's faces!!

Saturday, 2 December 2017

Do you have a secret santa gift to buy? Do you need some last minute stocking fillers? This is the gift guide for you! I've found some great gifts on the high street under £10 and I'm here to share them with you.

Friday, 1 December 2017

It's finally December which means this morning I've already had my chocolate from my advent calendar and I will be blasting the Christmas tunes at work too! I am so excited for Christmas and cannot wait for it to be 22 December already when I finish work to begin the festivities with the family. I hope you're all excited too because I'm doing blogmas this year so there will be Christmassy posts every day until Christmas!

Thursday, 30 November 2017

It's the 29 November which means we're on the countdown to Christmas now so I thought it was about time I started my gift guides. I know I'm late on the band wagon but I wanted to wait until all my gifts arrived! Better late than never eh!? I've been absolutely loving buying gifts for my family and friends. It makes me feel so Christmassy and excited for all the festivities.

Sunday, 26 November 2017

It's no secret that Christmas can be an expensive time of year. I always end up going overboard and I never stick to my budget but one thing I always do is make sure I get good deals. As we're close to December and on the countdown to the festivities I thought it was about time I share my tips with you!

Friday, 24 November 2017

Earlier this week I was invited to see Steps and the Vengaboys live at the Leeds First Direct Arena and it was absolutely amazing. One afternoon a couple of weeks back an email landed in my inbox from Branded3 inviting me along to the event as a VIP in one of the First Direct boxes. I honestly couldn't quite believe it at first, I thought it wasn't real that I'd been invited to see Steps as a blogger!

Wednesday, 22 November 2017

With winter in full swing now I've been switching up my wardrobe and thought it would be nice to share with you some of my top picks ahead of Black Friday! I have been loving the tailored trouser trend at the moment and I also think you can't beat a little black dress either!

Sunday, 19 November 2017

If you've followed my monthly playlists then you'll know I LOVE my music. I've been trying to keep at the gym during the winter months and not let the dark mornings put me off and to keep me motivated I've been listening to some great workout songs (obviously including the Christmas tunes too!) I want to maintain my fitness rather than letting it slide during December and then having to start all over again in January and it's bloody freezing in England so if anything going to the gym at least keeps me warm!

Wednesday, 15 November 2017

I know it's only the second week of November but I'm way too excited for Christmas and couldn't wait to share with you the new Christmas ranges from the Body Shop.

Sunday, 12 November 2017

September 2017 marked four years since I met my boyfriend Jay and today is our official 4 year anniversary. I can't believe it's been four years, it's gone so quickly! Back in my second year of uni I met jay in what used to be the most hilarious nightclub in Sheffield; Embrace on the sticky dance floor with a double vodka and lemonade in hand, and the rest is history so they say!

Some of my favourite blog posts to read are those that focus on different brands. It helps me to know what products bloggers are loving and also gives me an insight into brands I may not have tried before. Today I'm doing a brand focus on L'Oreal Paris because it's a brand I've tried and tested numerous times and some of my all time favourite drugstore products come from L'Oreal. L'Oreal Paris is a brand you can find readily available in your local supermarket however it also has numerous subsidiaries such as luxury brands like Lancome, YSL and Giorgio Armani. When it comes to beauty and skincare I think it's safe to say that they're up there at the top and they know their shit; which is why I love their products.

L'Oreal Super Liner
I won't lie, I'm not much of an eye liner girl but when I wear lashes on a night out I can't go without a good flick. I love the L'Oreal Super Liner as it's like a felt tip nib and helps those of us out who aren't a pro when it comes to putting on a liner! I find it dries really quickly but doesn't budge when it's on the eye either. I highly recommend.

L'Oreal Lumi Magique Foundation

If you've read my blog for a while or have checked out my previous posts about my skin type then you'll know I suffer from quite dry skin. I always used to struggle to find foundations that kept my skin looking dewy but didn't dry me out. I stumbled across the L'Oreal Lumi Magique foundation one afternoon a couple of months ago and I'm so happy I did because it's certainly a firm favourite in my collection. I've got a light shade for when I'm pale and a slightly darker shade for when I am tanned or on a night out. It applies really evenly and it buildable too. I find it gives a medium to full coverage and is definitely a dewy finish.

L'Oreal Paradise Mascara

This is hands down one of my all time favourite drugstore mascaras. In fact, I'd go as far as to say it does get top place! I purchased this because I heard so much hype about the Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara and was looking for a drugstore alternative and lots of people recommended this one. It gives my lashes volume, thickens them and gives them so much length. I find that mascaras that volume can sometimes make my lashes look clumpy, but this one does the opposite and helps separate my lashes whilst still making them full. I have repurchased this already and will be continuing to when my next tube runs out. I couldn't recommend this enough!

When I was younger I didn't really know what my dream jobs was. I probably told my parents I wanted to be a nurse or a dancer or a school teacher, but realistically I never really knew. Now I'm older and a little bit wiser (well at least I like to think so!), I feel like I now know what that dream job would be.

Over the last couple of years of blogging I've seen my photography game change. Now I'm not by any means saying that my photography is amazing because lets face it I know it's not, but I have started to explore different ways of making my photography stand out a bit more and use different props and materials to give my photos something a bit different. I recently shared with you my blogging essentials which got a lot of love and this post is hopefully going to help you when it comes to making your photos stand out and be even better so that you can improve the quality of your blog.

I really love photography and since I've purchased my Olympus Pen camera I've started to fall in love even more. If I could go back in time to Sixth Form I'd love to have done a photography course. I've booked onto one in the new year in order to help me become better at it and I'm very excited for it.

Anyway, It's not all about the camera you have! I've been taking my blog photos over the years using my iPhone and although the quality isn't incredible, it's definitely ok and using different props definitely helps so I thought I’d share with you a few of my favourite props in the hope that it might help some of you guys!

The autumn season screams burgundy and I absolutely love it. If you know me well then you'll know that my favourite colour is burgundy! Whether it's nail varnish, jumpers, handbags or lipstick. I love the colour and it suits my skin tone too. I do Ebay Wishlist posts every now and again and they prove to be very popular so I thought I'd combine my favourite things; Ebay and Burgundy to bring you an Ebay Wishlist - The Burgundy Edit!

Wednesday, 1 November 2017

The months are literally flying bye and I can't believe we're already in November! It's only 55 days until Christmas day! (I promise I'm not excited or anything!) This month I've been loving lots of bits and pieces; both beauty and fashion and a few random favourites too (of course). I have been loving all things autumn and been trying to get ahead on my blog too by writing and scheduling posts because I'm attempting blogmas in December which is always a challenge! Anyway .. onto my October favourites!

Sunday, 29 October 2017

It's nearly November which means it's time for another playlist post. I have had quite a busy October and its gone extremely fast but I don't mind because it means it's nearer to Christmas. I've got lots of exciting plans in November and December too including going to Radio 1 Xtra concert in Manchester so I've been listening to a few tracks from artists who will be playing there.

In hindsight all you need to blog is a laptop or phone and your ideas however there are some items that you can use to help make blogging easier and help develop better content too. When I started my blog over 3 years ago, I had no idea what I was doing! I just wanted to write my thoughts down somewhere and be part of a community I'd loved for so long. All I had was my blogger account, my iPhone 5 and a notebook and away I went. Now I'm not saying you need to have the best cameras and a Macbook Pro to blog because that's not true, there is no right or wrong to which equipment you use. However I thought it would be nice to share with you what I use to run my blog now that it's evolved over the years.

Wednesday, 25 October 2017

It's no secret that I'm a beauty addict. I love all things beauty and have collected a fair amount of make up over the years. Having tried and tested lots of products I've grown to love a few items more than the rest and I'd go as far as saying I couldn't live without them. They're my go to holy grail items and if you've not tried them yourselves then you need to head down to your local beauty store to test them out.

Sunday, 22 October 2017

I've been inspired to do this post because I saw Sophie Rose do it over on her blog and I thought it was nice to share with people everything I'm thankful for. Many people are struggling in this world we live in and I'm lucky to have so many amazing people in my life. It's so important to be positive and make the most of everything so if you're ever feeling down or having a hard time, why not write down all the things your thankful for to cheer yourself up.

Friday, 20 October 2017

The autumn season is in full swing so it's time to embrace those burgundy shades and switch out the brights colours for the nudes, bronze and mustard shades. I used to be an avid acrylics girl but it got to the point where I couldn't really afford to keep it up every 2 weeks and my natural nails were becoming weak so I decided to throw the towel in and embrace my short and stumpy natural nails! In order to try and make myself feel more girly again I like to paint my nails once a week (usually on a Sunday). During the winter months I embrace the seasonal colours and find myself leaning towards the berry shades, browns, bronzey golds and the navy blue. Today I'm sharing with you my top picks. I have my own gel nail kit at home too so I often use normal nail polishes and then use my gel top coat to ensure the polish lasts.

It's cold, wintery weather outside and it's the time of year where everyone gets ill. There are a fair few colleagues of mine at work who have been feeling under the weather and to be honest, I've not been feeling 100% but I'm trying my hardest not to get the bug!! Anyway onto the I thought I'd share with you my pamper essentials for when you're having a sick day at home. These are the things I love to do when I feel crap and am tucked up in bed with a box of tissues and a lemsip.

Sunday, 15 October 2017

We all own a mobile phone, right? Let's face it in this day and age we're glued to them (I know I certainly am). I use my phone every single day and I want to keep it protected at all times, but still look pretty too! I often find that the phone cases that are hard wearing are a little bit ugly, which results in a problem because I then opt for the pretty flimsy cases and my phone is still unprotected. I love getting new phone cases so when GoCustomized got in touch with me about a collab opportunity I was more than happy to oblige.

Friday, 13 October 2017

Does anyone else feel like this cold weather just makes you want to eat endless carbs and feel good food? Well, I've got just the recipe for you today. Think pasta, halloumi and a tomato based sauce and voila there you have it; the perfect meal.

All you need for this recipe is some penne pasta (you can choose gluten free if you prefer), some halloumi, a tin of canned tomatoes and some spring onion. It's SO simple and easy to make and you can season it and chop and change the ingredients as you please.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and you should all join me in supporting the cause and raising as much awareness as possible for Breast Cancer. Like many of you I'm sure, my family have been touched by Breast Cancer and we've lost some special people to the disease so it's important to be aware of the signs of the disease and help prevent it in any way we can. 2017 marks the 25th anniversary of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and many brands in the beauty and fashion sector are getting on board by bringing out pink products to help raise awareness and funds for such a worthy cause. Today I'm sharing with you my top picks.

Sunday, 8 October 2017

We're a week into October and I'm getting rather Christmassy thinking about all the presents to buy everyone and booking in all the Christmas plans. Anyway Christmas aside I thought I'd share with you my favourite blog posts that I've loved this week. I'm loving discovering more bloggers too so leave me your links below! I might even start a series on the blog and do a monthly blogger favourites? What do you think?! I might even feature you in there one day!

Friday, 6 October 2017

I saw this tag on An Ocean Glimmer blog and thought it was a great tag to help my readers get to know me more. My 50 facts about me tag is one of my most popular posts so today I'm super excited to give this tag a go.

Wednesday, 4 October 2017

It's finally October, which means Halloween is upon us. I love dressing up and playing around with make up for this season so I thought I would share with you my top 10 costume ideas and the make up looks I'd put with them.
