HELLO 2015

Wow where has 2014 gone? This year has flown by! So much has happened in the last year, I've made so many memories. I finished my second year of University in Sheffield, I moved to Manchester to start my placement year, went on holidays with my boyfriend and family and spent time with friends, oh and we can't forget about starting this blog! I cannot wait to see what 2015 brings and I hope to create many more happy memories!

Some of the things I did in 2014:

1. I moved to Manchester to start my placement year.
This was a huge thing for me. I like being in my comfort zone surrounded by my friends and family and I'm not great with meeting new people as I have issues with my confidence, but I did it and I'm nearly half way through it and my confidence has grown so much in such a short space of time!

2. I completed my 2nd year of studying Events Management at University in Sheffield.
I ended up getting a 2:1 and was really happy with the result! It just shows that hard work can pay off.

3. I Saw McBusted in concert!
Yes, I know, I'm not 12 any more but I was obsessed with Busted when I was little so it was kind of only right to go and see McBusted on tour. Thank you to my boyfriend for buying me the tickets, I'm not embarrassed to say it was amazing!!

4. I went on my first holiday with my boyfriend.
We went to Majorca for a week at the end of May and it was so so lovely. We sunbathed, ate loads of food and spent a lot of time at the local cocktail bar, pretty much my ideal holiday!

5. I made tonnes of new friends in 2014.
In my second year at University I became a lot closer with friends who I only knew to say hi to during first year. Now I value them as close friends and we've shared some amazing memories. I'm excited to go back to university in September to spend my final year with them all and make more memories. I also made new friends on my work placement too who've made my move to Manchester a whole lot easier.

6. I completed my first 5k run.
I know, you're probably thinking 5k is that it?! I'm not the fittest of people. I used to dance 5 times a week during my high school day but then I suddenly stopped at University and now I'm rather unfit and out of shape. With that said, I decided to do something about it and complete the Liverpool Santa Dash with my family back home in Liverpool (I've enrolled numerous times and always backed out at the last minute). Although I hadn't trained at all, and I did have to stop to catch my breath at times, I loved every minute of it and ran the race in just over half an hour. I am now determined to get healthy and fit in 2015 so I can continue with my running!

7. I waved my twin sister off to start her life in New York.
My sister found out in August of 2014 that she had been successful in auditioning for the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and gained a scholarship to study in New York for 2 years. I'm so unbelievably proud of her and can't wait to save up so I can go and visit her! It was such an emotional goodbye but I know she will have the time of her life!

8. I went to Amity Fest with one of my best friends Jen.
I've always been obsessed with YouTube and blogs but little did I know that so was one of my best friends! She text me the day the tickets were released and told me she'd booked for us to go in Birmingham! It was such a good day trip. The show itself was surreal seeing people who feel like my friends (because I've been watching them for so long) on stage, and although there were a lot, and I mean millions of screaming young girls, I enjoyed watching the YouTubers and seeing how successful people who are my age can be by following their dreams and being determined.
9. I continued my ongoing obsession with the world of blogging and YouTube.
I've been watching YouTube videos for 5 or 6 years now and following blogs for the best part of 2 years. I've never plucked up the courage to start YouTube, but 2014 was the year I decided to finally start my blog!

10. I started a blog and I am so glad I finally did!
I know it will take time to gain readers, and I hope that some of these posts are either helpful or interesting but I am excited to see where my blogging journey will take me throughout 2015!

What did you get up to in 2014?
