TIME TO SAY GOODBYE | ONE YEAR ON PLACEMENT

I honestly cannot believe that today is my last day on Placement year in Manchester. If you have no idea what I'm talking about you can read my 6 month review HERE.
I have honestly loved doing a placement year and have learnt so much. I've had an insight into Mental Health, Marketing and Communications and Events and it's been so worthwhile. I work just outside of Manchester and worked within a team of 4 girls during the second half of my placement which was a lot of fun!

I'm not going to lie, I was really apprehensive about starting placement. When I first started I was the least confident person ever. I was worried about living on my own in a new city away from my boyfriend and was scared about starting a job in a new environment with people I didn't know, but I honestly don't know what I was worried about because I've come out so confident and have loved the experience. I probably won't miss living in Manchester on my own, but I'm proud of myself for sticking it out and I can now finally say I've done it!

I've had the chance to work with patients, meet Jenny Bond, work with the BBC and organise numerous conferences and events within the Trust. I've been able to design and produce my own merchandise and have even learnt how to edit and create elements on the website.

I'm so lucky to have been given the opportunity to do a placement and work in an amazing team amongst colleagues who welcomed me into the team and helped me grow as a person. I will never forget the experience I've had and the people that I've met along the way and I'm so thankful for the experience.

I've loved my placement, I love events and I now cannot wait to go into my final year and hopefully pursue a career in the events industry.

Have any of you guys done a placement year or is anyone thinking of doing one?
