Hello guys! Today's post is a book review of Paige Toon's I knew you were trouble. I've been wanting to read this book for so long and I enjoyed it just as much as I thought I would!
I don't won't to give too much away in terms of the storyline as I'd hate for someone to have spoilt it for me, but I seriously recommend it, I've really enjoyed reading it.
This was the first Paige Toon book I've read and although I'd heard lots about Paige Toon, I'd never got my hands on her books. After reading the book and doing a little research into the author, I soon realised that this wasn't the first book in the series, but it didn't matter because the book still made sense!
I Knew You Were Trouble is focussed around Jessie and how she deals with returning to school in England knowing her dad Johnny Jefferson is a famous superstar. Sooner or later the press find out who she is and everyone suddenly wants to know all about Johnny Jefferson's long lost daughter (basically her life changes forever). The novel explores numerous topics such as friendships and relationships and you see both positive and negative aspects of living life in the public eye.
Overall, I really enjoyed this novel. It's entertaining and a great read. I am gutted that it didn't arrive in time for my holiday as I know full well I would've not been able to put it down and if I'd have sat in the sun all day reading it I would've got a much better tan :')
I hope you enjoyed this review, have any of you read the novel before? What did you think? Are any of you hoping to read it soon? Let me know in the comments. If you fancy picking up the book yourself, you can purchase a copy on Amazon for £3.85 HERE.
