I GRADUATED!

So I'm hungover, emotional and not ready to go back to work tomorrow but it is all so worth it because yesterday was quite possibly one of the best days of my life. I graduated from University after an incredible 4 years of ups and downs and a whole lot of memories!

University for me has been an extremely challenging experience, not only is the workload a bloody pain and a lot harder than I ever anticipated, but it has been a huge emotional roller coaster. I have had some very high points and some very very low points. I have learnt so much about myself, the world, and the person I would like to become. Not only did I gain a degree, but I gained some of the best friends who will 100% be in my life forever and I’m so grateful to have met each and every one of them (you know who you are)!!

Graduation for me was emotional, happy and a day filled with memories that I shared with my best friends and family. I could not have wished for a better day and it is one that I will remember forever.

For my best friends reading this, thank you for making me laugh until I cry, being a consent support throughout the shit times and the horrendous workload, giving me honest advice, being a shoulder to cry on and being the most supportive bunch of friends I could ever wish for. The memories of all the uni trips, drunk nights ending up in WSL, going to Hallam Nation and not being able to find each other, Dev chippy, Casino Killer. Croatia and the many nights we spent drunk and mornings we spent in McDonalds eating our weight in food. Thank you for all the hilarious memories we had made, and I am so excited to share many more in the future.

Thank you to my mum and dad for always pushing me to work my hardest and helping me to achieve my goals. I wouldn't be the woman I am today without the support from both of you and all the proof reading you did (I’m looking at you mum!) You constantly inspire me to become more like you and I honestly couldn't wish for better parents.

A special thanks to my twin Chess for always make me smile even when I was sad and my brother for texting me once every year ;) it meant a lot to see your name come up on my screen!

Thanks to my Nanna for being you. I look up to you and hope to be a wonderful person like you one day. I know both Grandads would be proud of me and it meant a lot that you could be there to see me walk across that stage with my head held high!

Thank you to my lovely boyfriend Jay too. If it wasn’t for Hallam I might never have met you. You helped me to become a stronger person, believed in me and were there for me when I needed you most. I will never be able to thank you enough!

To my family reading this, thank you for never letting me quit, especially when I didn’t think I could go back.

To anyone reading this that is unsure of going to university, seriously - do it!!!! You won’t regret it for a second, no matter how challenging it is, it’s SO worth it. It is the most rewarding experience and you honestly make the best memories, even if you have to have a few shit ones too. To anyone reading this that has been to uni, I hope it reminds you of your experiences when you were at Uni and you look back with a smile on your face at how far you’ve come since. Weren't they just the best memories?!

Thank you Sheffield Hallam for making my four years of University the best.
