I've been loving reading everyone’s Blogmas posts this year and I’m also loving writing all mine too. As you all know Christmas time makes me SO happy and I cannot wait to go home for Christmas on Friday to spend time with family!! I love a lot of things about the festive season so I thought it'd be a good idea to share with you 5 reasons to love the festive period; so here goes!
Christmas Trees
An obvious thing to love about Christmas is the Christmas trees! It's one of my favourite things to do in order to get me in the festive mood. Traditionally in our family we decorate ours the first weekend of December. At our family home we get two real trees; one is decorate silver, purple and white themed and the other is gold and copper themed. This year, it's also my boyfriend and I's first Christmas living together so we have a fake tree (which we inherited from my final year Uni flat - thanks Prin House!) and have decorated it with gold, green and red festive colours and random baubles. I cannot wait to own a home in the future and decorate my tree how I want it! I'm thinking copper or burgundy themed!! I cannot wait!

Christmas Films
Another obvious festive thing to do in the run up to Christmas is watch all your favourite Christmas films! Elf has got to be one of my favourites; as is the Holiday & Love Actually. I will be spending all day Christmas eve watching Christmas films and drinking Prosecco or Hot Chocolate! Find out my top Christmas films here.
Watching all the Famous Christmas Adverts
Every year we wait in anticipation to see the famous John Lewis advert and then compare it to it's rivals. This year though, I'm fairly disappointed in the John Lewis advert. It didn't move me like it has in the past and to be blunt, I'm kind of bored of seeing it - I much prepare the spoof version featuring Donald Trump, Obama and Hillary Clinton; if you've not seen it already I highly recommend! My favourite advert this year hands down is the Sainsbury's advert.. It's SO catchy and makes me smile every time I hear it. I also love the M&S advert about Mrs Clause!
My favourite part of Christmas is seeing all my family. I love spoiling them and cherishing and making lots of amazing memories. I love the fact that during the whole festive period Jay and I will be spending lots of time visiting both our families!
Buying & Giving Presents
Buying presents for my family is hands down one of my favourite things to do during the festive period. I have loved spoiling everyone this year now that I can finally afford to and I'm not broke at University!! I feel as though I can finally spend money on them and treat them this time round which has made it all the more fun to shop! I can't wait to see everyone opening their presents!! I'm so excited!
