It's finally Friday - thank god the week is over. After a long hard week at work sometimes we all just need to relax and recuperate before facing Tuesday so here I'm going to share with you a few ways that I like to help keep me feeling relaxed after a shit day at work!
I'm quite lucky in the fact that I live fairly close to my place of work so I never get home too late even if I stay later which is amazing but I do still just want to rush home and relax because well it's important to look after yourself isn't it!
TAKE CARE OF YOUR SKIN
It is so important to look after your skin and if you don't believe that then you need to have a word with yourself or Caroline Hirons (the ultimate skincare babe). Taking my make up off after a long day is so refreshing and can be so relaxing too. When pampering my skin I love to use a face mask and take the time to moisturise my skin so that it's feeling soft and smooth!
COOK HEALTHY FOOD
I've always enjoyed cooking ever since I was little and I don't think I'm all that bad at it if I'm honest but sometimes I do find that it's such a long process that I simply cannot be bothered. Often after a long day at work I won't feel like cooking a meal from scratch but when I do I can't tell you have good it makes me feel. Not only is it therapeutic but it also makes me feel better inside and much more relaxed. I sometimes try and make my dishes look Instagram worthy too of course because we don't want to waste an opportunity now do we?!
WATCH YOUR FAVOURITE TV PROGRAMMES
When ever I want to relax I find that watching my favourite things on TV makes me feel instantly better. I tend to just watch YouTube Videos or cooking programmes; I love Masterchef but I'm also obsessed with How to get away with murder on Netflix!
PAMPER YOURSELF
The main way I like to relax is by pampering myself; whether that means buying something new, getting my nails done or having a long relaxing bubble bath!
