TO BE MORE CONFIDENT IN MYSELF
This year I've seen my confidence grow so much in both my work and professional life. I often doubt myself and my strengths and skills and never feel like I'm good enough but this last year my opinion of myself has really changed. I'm not in any way saying I'm the bees knees or anything like that but I now believe that I am good enough. I've been to blogging events on my own this year which is something that used to make me feel so anxious because I didn't know anyone but I did it and I had the best time. I also passed my driving test and got a new job which is pretty much the job I've always wanted so now I know I can do it.
IF YOU PUT YOUR MIND TO IT, YOU CAN ACHIEVE ANYTHING
Like I've mentioned before I recently got a new job and I never in a million years thought I'd get shortlisted, let alone be offered the job but I believed in myself and I took the guy on receptions advise and I did smash the interview and I did achieve the goal; I got the job. I have also seen such a huge improvement in my blog this year and that's all done to my hard work and determination. I love blogging and enjoy every minute of it and I've worked hard to try and improve my writings and learn about what works and what doesn't and I've seen my views increase too. It really is true what they say; if you put your mind to it and believe, you really can achieve anything.
HAVING A SUPPORT NETWORK IS CRUCIAL
I wouldn't have got through some of the low moments during the last year without my family and my best friends. My mum and dad are my biggest support. I look up to them and aspire to be like them everyday. When I got my new job they both cried and it just shows me how much they believe in me and how proud I make them. My boyfriend Jay has listened day in day out to all my moaning and crying when I had a bad day at work and he has supported me in my blogging journey too. My brother and sister are also constantly supporting me and I know they're really proud of me for sticking at my blog too! My best friends have been there for me when I needed a chat or a wild night out and have always been my biggest supporters in both my work and my blog. I honestly have the best group of friends and I love them all so much. And a special little shout out to my work friends; the past and the present who have made me laugh even when I wanted to cry. Ste Dawg, thanks for being the best listener. I'll miss you!! And a special shout out to my girl NC who has been at the other end of the phone when I wanted a rant and always up for a glass of fizz and a catch up!
PERSEVERANCE IS KEY
2017 has been a year full of achievements but it hasn't come to me on a plate. I had to work bloody hard on my blog to get where I am today and I've absolutely smashed so many goals that never thought I'd achieve. I took my driving test, twice but I stuck with it and it was second time lucky. I looked for jobs for what felt like years and when the right one came along it was definitely worth the wait. I'm so proud of everything I've achieved and even though it might have taken time, it's definitely been worth it.
LAUGHTER REALLY IS THE BEST MEDICINE
The highlights of my year have been the endless laughs. I have honestly made some of the best memories in 2017. Jay and I have been away together, I've spent time at home with my family, I've been up and down the country to visit all my friends and I've made memories that will last a lifetime. Some of my favourite memories have been with our friends Chloe & Jack. Every time we spend time together we laugh from the minute they arrive (you never know guys we might be in Monton soon for some more viewings ;)). I've spent numerous weekends down in London visiting my best friends and we always get very drunk and reminisce about Uni and my Dad even did a live football cup drawer from Jerusalem with a bunch of old people who have no clue about the sport. These memories might all sound random to you but they've made my 2017 one full of laughter and I'll never forget them.
What have you learnt in 2017?
