I cannot believe that soon 2017 will be over and a new year 2018 begins. I have big plans for 2018, both in my personal life and in my job and blog. I've read a few posts similar to this one where we reflect on what the last year has brought us and the memories we've made so I have been inspired to share my 2017 with you all, along with my favourite blog posts of the months.
JANUARY
Once I'd recovered from the hangover after celebrating 2016 with some of my favourite people, 2017 started with a plan. I sat down on new years day and wrote all of my goals down and planned for the year ahead. I love being organised, I definitely get that from my Mum and so I pondered over all the things I wanted to achieve and set my sights on where I wanted to visit. I am definitely going to start 2018 off the same because I think it puts you in a good place ready to begin the new year. January was also my brothers birthday. In 2017 he turned 20 (not so little anymore is he!) and we celebrated with a meal at our favourite place in Leeds; Gusto. I bought him the trustee Colin the caterpillar cake and we drank lots!! I also visited my friends in London and partied like we know best. It was certainly a good start to the year.

FEBRUARY
February was probably my favourite month of the year, mostly because it's my birthday month!! I saw all my favourite people, celebrated with my family and received lots of wonderful gifts. Jay and I also moved into our second flat together in the new city of Leeds! We begun our new chapter and have loved every minute of it.

MARCH
March was a month of catch ups. I saw two of my oldest and best friends Georgia & Jen for a catch up meal back home and it was so lovely to see them again. With us living further away we don't see each other as often as we'd like but when we're together it's like we've never been apart.

APRIL
April was races month! I'm ashamed to say I'd never been to the Aintree Grand National before, even though I grew up in Liverpool! 2017 was a first and I had the best time! The sun was shining and I drank lots and danced until my feet were sore. It was so amazing that we're going back in 2018!

In May I spent time with my family and friends. I didn't do a lot but sometimes they're the best times. My favourite memory was probably when my Dad and I went for a long walk in the Lake District; just me and him. We had such a lovely time talking, singing, getting lost and having only a few minor arguments (right dad?). I love doing things like that because it's those moments that I'll cherish forever!

JUNE
June was the month of the Visible Prem awards in London. Basically my Dad set up a Sky Sports Super 6 league with some of his friends and our family and June was the awards night from last season. We all had an amazing time and there were lots of laughs. Unfortunately the awards night happened on the same day as the Terrorist Attack near Borough Market so we were all quite shaken up but we still enjoyed the evening as best we could. I'm looking forward to next years (hopefully I'll win something!) My mum and I also saw Adele in June which was something I've been waiting for for ages! We had an amazing time and it's something I'll never forget.

JULY
In July my Mum and I went over to New York to visit my sister and spend some time together just the three of us. We had the most amazing time and I would go back in a heartbeat. I featured lots of post about the trip where you can find out more about what we got up to! July was also Jay's birthday and we celebrated by going back to Sheffield to attend the annual Tramlines festival with some of our favourite people.

AUGUST
August was my mum's birthday as well as my mum and dad's silver wedding anniversary. We celebrated like we know best; with a Dolan family party and we all had such an amazing time. I talked about the day here. I also hit a major blogging milestone in August; hitting 45,000 page views and then a week later hitting 50,000. I set myself the goal of hitting 45,000 page views by the end of 2017 and we hit it 4 months earlier! I never thought I'd ever achieve that but I did and I am so so proud.

SEPTEMBER
In September we hit 55,000 page views on the blog. I honestly couldn't believe it, such a huge achievement. Jay and I also went on a weekend break to Krakow in Poland. It rained pretty much every day and was freezing but we had the best time visiting a new city and enjoyed every minute of it. You can find out what we got up to here.

NOVEMBER
November was a busy month; I went home to visit my family a couple of times and spent time with my Nanna too. I also went up to Manchester to see our friends Chloe and Jack and we sent to the Radio 1 Xtra concert at the arena which was so much fun. Every time we spend time with them we have such a great time and this was no exception! We got very drunk, sung very loudly and befriended some questionable people in the takeaway! The perfect weekend if you ask me! In mid November I got to go and watch STEPS at the first direct arena as part of a perk to blogging and I had such a great time meeting new people and singing my heart out! Read all about it here.
I also had an important month too because I took my driving test and finally passed and was offered a new job! I couldn't have had a better month. It was so overwhelming! It was also mine and Jay's 4 year anniversary so of course we celebrated with fizz!

DECEMBER
And finally, December. This month has flown by so fast. I've started to get myself organised for the New Year and I've eaten lot's of unhealthy food! Jay and I also booked our holiday to Rhodes next year too which I'm getting really excited for and we spent another lovely booze filled evening with our favourite couple; Chloe and Jack who came to see us in Leeds!
I have loved buying all my Christmas presents this month and I am SO excited to see everyone open them! These last few days will be spent packing to go home for Christmas and spend time with my favourite people.
I also made a decision to take part in the Teenage Cancer Trust Party Hard Train Harder challenge in January. I've decided to help a great cause by working off all the festive food throughout January. I'll be documenting my journey on the blog so stay tuned.
