BEHIND THE BLOG | Q&A

I love reading Q&A posts and always find them so interesting as I get to know the blogger behind the blog. I've done a couple of Q&A posts before but I thought I'd do another one today but more about why I started blogging and answer a few questions I'm often asked about what I like to do aside from the blog! Let me know if you like these types of posts and leave any other questions below.

WHY DID YOU START BLOGGING?
I started blogging back in 2014 during my placement year in Manchester. I didn't know many people and spent my evenings in my room in my basement flat reading blogs and watching YouTube. I decided one evening that I'd start my own blog and it went from there! It became my hobby and was my favourite thing to do!

WHATS THE BEST AND WORST THING ABOUT BLOGGING?
My favourite thing about blogging is definitely the little community we're all part of. There are so  many lovely people who support one another and it's great to be part of the 'family'. My least favourite thing is the pressure it brings. I feel like blogging is so different to how it used to be when I first started almost four years ago. As the community has grown, the pressure has increased and it's so hard to stand out these days. I really struggle with working full-time and keeping up with my blog and producing the content.

WHAT'S BEEN YOUR GREATEST BLOGGING ACHIEVEMENT SO FAR?
Hitting 100,000 views on my blog. It might seem like a small amount to most people but it's such a huge achievement to me. I never thought I'd reach 1,000 views when I started it and I am close to 150,000 views now which is crazy!

HOW DO YOU STAY MOTIVATED AND ORGANISED WITH YOUR BLOG?
I've done a blog post about this recently, which you can read here. I definitely find it difficult to keep motivated and some weeks I get lots of inspiration whereas others I feel like my content is never going to be good enough to stand out. I keep organised by keeping a weekly planner and have my diary and notebook with me at all times (being an events organiser means that I always keep a list of things to do and dates in the diary!)

WHAT'S BEEN YOUR FAVOURITE BLOG POST YOU'VE PUBLISHED AND WHY?
I'd say I'm probably proudest of my post all about my graduation. It was one of my favourite to write and I feel as though it's such a poignant post as I had a lot of ups and downs at Uni so I felt very proud to be writing about graduating with a first class honours in Event Management!

WHATS YOUR FAVOURITE THING TO DO YOU DO BESIDES BLOGGING?
Probably shopping (or browsing the internet if I don't have any money left!) I love shopping for homeware at the moment. We're in the process of saving for a house so I've been browsing pintrest and online stores such as Matalan and Ikea!

WHAT ARE YOUR HOLY GRAIL PRODUCTS?
My two holy grail products are my L'Oreal Hydra Gel moisturiser and my Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream. They are hands down my favourites!

WHERE IS YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE TO VISIT?
That's a difficult one. I've been on loads of amazing trips and made lots of memories in each place. My favourites are probably Santorini (the most beautiful place ever - I only visited when I was younger and I can't wait to go back soon!), Craigendaroch in Scotland (I loved going there as a kid) and Krakow (such a beautiful city and I loved going when it was cold as it just added to the atmosphere!

WHATS YOUR BUCKET LIST TRAVEL DESTINATION?
The Maldives - 100%. If I ever get married, this is where I want to go on my honeymoon!
