Happy 1st of January 2019!!! I can't believe 2018 is over. It has gone by so fast and I've made some amazing memories over the last 365 days! The 1st of January means it's the annual day to sit down and set my goals for the year so in today's post I'm going to update you on where I got to with my 2018 goals and share what I have my mind set to do in 2019.
Last year I set a goal of loosing weight before my holiday in Rhodes in May. I managed to achieve that goal and lost over a stone however since then I haven't stuck at it so as part of my 2019 goals I've rejoined Slimming World and will be getting back on track.

In 2018 I started my job at NHS England working in the national events team and wanted to make a good first impression and continue to develop my event management skills. I must've done something right as I managed to get a promotion in September and have since joined an embedded team working on events. I love working there and have gained lots of lovely new friends and colleagues throughout the last year so next year I want to continue to work hard and develop my skills. Another work related goal I set in 2018 was to do another qualification. I didn't quite achieve this but I have set some goals in my mid year review at work and aim to complete a course in communications throughout the next year.
Last year I set a few goals in relation to my blog and although I didn't blog consistently I have managed to meet some of those goals. I wanted to hit 450 followers by the end of 2018 and I'm just 6 short of hitting 500 which I'm really please about. I find it really hard to hit goals in relation to my blog as it's such a hard platform to grow however I am really pleased with the small steps towards these goals. I also set myself a goal to hit 150,000 page views and as I write this I'm just past the 170,000 mark which is insane!!
I wanted to try and increase my DA on my blog from 20-25 however it's actually dropped to 14 which is really shit. I still can't get my head around actually improving my DA so 2019 is the year to try and work it out a bit more and make an effort to see it grow. I want to write down my monthly stats and see if I can figure out how to make my blog grow!
My instagram goal failed completely. I've got 590 followers so it's grown ever so slightly, but I'm WAY off my 1,000 target (lol)! I didn't really make much effort though so I can't really complain!!
In 2018 I worked with some more lovely brands through my blog which I find so inspiring and exciting every time someone wants to work with me. I also connected with more bloggers online and have discovered some really genuine girls through this whole blogging thing which is lovely to see!
My 2019 goals are:
1. Rejoin Slimming World
2. Go to the Gym three times a week (I want to go swimming, play badminton and go to the gym at least once each a week)
3. Do another 10K
4. Focus on posting on my blog once a week for the whole year
5. Improve my photography skills and take the time to make my posts better quality
What are your goals for 2019? Let me know in the comments below so we can inspire and motivate each other!
