[This post contains gifted items]
Jay hates occasions like valentines day and 5 years down the line we don't tend to actually do a lot to celebrate as it falls so close to my birthday but we usually go out for a meal which is always cute! Anyway, onto the gift guide.
There are so many different gifts you can get your loved one and it's the perfect occasion to make your gift special and personal, you never know, he/she might put a ring on it!!

ALCOHOL
You can't beat a good alcohol related gift for valentines day. I love prosecco so a bottle of fizz and a box of chocolates is a great gift to receive! For Jay; he loves gin, so I know he'd love a bottle of his favourite Bombay gin and a cute gin cocktail mixers set to go with it.
CANDLES
It's no secret that I am obsessed with candles. I'd burn them 24 hours a day if I could. I got x3 new candles for Christmas and I'm down to my last one! Aldi sell some of my favourite candles; they've got Jo Malone dupes which are fab for £3.99 and I also got a cute Marble one from Asda recently too which looks fab in my living room.
JEWELLERY
Jewellery is a great gift to buy your significant other; whether it's a dainty necklace, a watch or maybe it's time to pop the question and whip out a ring? I love receiving jewellery and particularly love my Pandora rings. They are so affordable and you can get so many different styles. Bradbury's jewellers* also sell some beautiful pieces and they come perfectly gift wrapped! This delicate silver bow bracelet is so cute and they have various options to choose from for really affordable prices. I also love my silver Nordgreen Watch*. It comes with interchangeable straps too so you can tailor it to suit you style. Read my full review here. I also bought Jay this Lorus watch from Debenhams and he wears it all the time. They have some really affordable options and from well known brands too! Definitely check them out for the perfect valentines gift.
PERFUME & AFTERSHAVE
You can't beat a bottle of perfume or aftershave, and it's no secret that you can never have too many! A small 30ml bottle of your partners favourite perfume or aftershave is a great gift idea. My all time favourite is Tom Ford Black Orchid (which I've sadly ran out of and it makes me want to cry *hint hint Jay* but I equally love my Black Opium Eau de Parfum Spray by Yves Saint Laurent which is a great everyday perfume. Jay's favourites are Davidoff Coolwater and Invictus by Paco Rabanne! Get yourself down to your local boots and give some a test, I bet there will be loads of great offers on in the run up to valentines day!
UNDERWEAR
I know it's cliche, but what's a Valentines day without a matching pair of cute underwear. I always shop for my underwear in Primark; it's cheap and cheerful, but looks cute too. I also love M&S underwear and of course Boux Avenue and Victoria Secret too if I want to spend a little bit more. I think a red or pink underwear set is the way to go for a Valentines theme gift.
Do you celebrate Valentines Day? What do you do?
