If you didn't know, Bills Leeds has been open since 2015 butt Bill's are currently in the process of re-branding their restaurants and Leeds were one of the first restaurants to get the makeover in 2019. At the launch event we got to experience an evening of cocktails and delicious food and had the first look at their new interior. It was honestly so pretty in there! The vibe in the new restaurants is much more upmarket and it really reminds me of the Ivy Restaurants as there's lots of plants and greenery and animal decor! As part of the relaunch Bills is now also open until 1 am every Friday and Saturday and even has live music every week. It's the perfect place for a date night or a few drinks with your gal pals after work!

Jay and I arrived after work at around 6pm and were taken straight through to the brand new bar area. There was such a cool vibe in there with live music playing in the background whilst we sipped on our cocktails. One of the lovely bar staff came over to serve us and was amazing at recommending drinks from the new menu. I ordered one of my all time favourite Aperol Spritz and Jay had a Beer and we also both tried one of the new Gin based cocktails "Clover Tea Club" which I would highly recommend. It was soooo nice and was basically like drinking a soft drink - which could definitely be dangerous, especially on a date!!

Once we'd had a bit of time at the bar sipping our cocktails and taking in the gorgeous decor and music, our waiter took us through to the restaurant area for our meal. We had a cute table tucked away in the corner and the restaurant was dimly lit with candles *so cute*.
Our waiter once again was amazing at making recommendations and after telling us his wife was obsessed with the Chicken and Sesame Dumplings we both ordered them straight away! We also ordered our main meals and I went for the King Prawn Risotto and Jay chose the Pan Fried Chicken with Wild Mushrooms. I'm not just saying this, but it was one of the nicest meals I've had from a "chain" restaurant. There is also so much to choose from and something to suit any dietary requirements. The Vegan Duck Salad looked delicious - definitely want to try that next time!

After devouring the amazing starters and mains we then decided to try the deserts. I was actually pretty full after our meal so we both opted for the Lemon Sorbet which was so refreshing! It had a bitter tang but was so good and wasn't too "unhealthy" either, although I definitely want to try the Warm Chocolate Brownie next time. That looks right up my street!

What I love about Bills is the fact that they have Dinner Specials. Basically, every day there is a different special on the menu which is served from 5pm until they're gone. They have some amazing options:
- Monday - Black Bean Chilli (V) (Ve)
- Tuesday - Duck Pie
- Wednesday - Pan Fried Salmon
- Thursday - Chicken Green Curry
- Friday - Steak and Rarebit Pie
- Saturday - Slow Cooked Lamb Shank
- Sunday - 10oz Rib Eye Steak and Merlot
I feel like I need to try it on every day of the week because they sound so delicious. It's actually making me hungry as I write this. The Duck Pie sounds incredible!!!
I feel very lucky that I was invited to try out the new Bills Menu and take Jay with me too. It was a lovely weekday treat and the staff were so lovely and accommodating. I can't fault any of them! I'm so excited to go and visit on a weekend to hear their live musicians and I'll definitely be heading back for more of those gin cocktails!
Also, if you're a student you can get 20% off food Sunday-Thursday with a valid student ID.
A huge thank you to the amazing team at Bills for inviting me and Jay for a lovely evening. I'm already organising our next weekend date night and breakfast trip!

Have you ever been to Bill's Restaurants before? What did you think? Definitely go and check out one of their refurbished restaurants - you won't be dissapointed!
