APRIL FAVOURITES 2019!

Well what a month April was! Finally we had a bit of sunshine on the bank holiday weekend and I topped off the month with 2 weeks off work, seeing family and friends! I really can't believe we've nearly half way through 2019. This year has already been full of amazing memories and I've got so much to look forward to in the next few months! Today I'm sharing with you all the things I've loved throughout April from experiences to beauty products and my new found love for fashion content!

LIFESTYLE

Aintree Grand National

If you read my makeup for a day at the races post a few weeks ago, you'll know that I went to Aintree Grand National and have been going for the last few years. I always have the best time and get to spend it with some of my favourite people. I know the racing isn't for everyone but the whole atmosphere is amazing and it's great to see everyone in Liverpool get all dressed up!

New Blog Design

After all the drama happening around the Pigdig saga, I decided it was about time to switch up my blog theme. I found a seller on Esty that was selling themes relatively cheap and they were the exact type I was after so I purchased one and haven't looked back. It was so easy to install and it's amazing to be able to customise it too. Do you like the new theme? Let me know what you think in the comments below.

Personal Training

Mid way through April I decided it was time to get myself into shape and start feeling a bit more confident in myself. I have been doing slimming world for a few months and lost a stone following the plan so I've decided to combine that alongside some PT sessions to see if I can increase my strength and encourage the weightloss. I've only done a few sessions so far but I've been absolutely loving it. My PT Sophie is lovely and is really helping me learn about the exercises I'm doing and what I should be eating nutrition wise. It's the first time in forever that I've finally felt like I enjoy going to the gym!

BEAUTY

Eylure Lashes*

I love wearing lashes and was recently sent a few pairs of Eylure lashes* from Falseeylashes.co.uk to try out. I've always been a big fan of Eylure lashes and used to wear style 101 all the time until I discovered my Ardell Demi Wispies. I haven't tried any for a while but after wearing the 117's a couple of times this month I'm once again converted. I love them! They look natural but long and they're so affordable too! Definitely check out the website for 10% off your next order using code LASH10.

Skin Chemists Skincare*

I was recently kindly gifted some of Skin Chemists skincare products from their Caviar range to try and have been introducing them into my daily skincare routine over the past few weeks. I was kindly sent the Anti Ageing Caviar Day Moisturiser, the Anti Ageing Caviar Facial Serum and the Anti Ageing Caviar Eye Serum and have been really enjoying trying them out. I really like the facial serum as it's hydrating on the skin and contains quite a mix of vitamins to pump hydration into the skin. I do like both the eye cream and moisturiser but as they are mattifying they do tend to make my skin more dry!

FASHION

Checked Blazer

Recently I rediscovered my checked blazer that I bought in Primark a few years ago and I've been obsessed with it again. I think it's so easy to add to any outfit and make it look that bit more put together. I love wearing it with mom jeans and cute top! It's definitely made me think I want to start adding more blazers to my collection! Check out my recent post where I style my checked blazer 3 ways!

Khaki Military Jacket

I've wanted one of these military style jackets for a while now and as festival season is coming up soon I have had my eye on a few from various different brands but when I found this one from Topshop I couldn't resist the splurge. I can't wait to wear this at Glastonbury with a cute white top and denim shorts or a denim skirt and biker boots. It makes me so excited for Glastonbury and festival season! Follow me on Instagram for outfit posts!

Primark Straw Bag

This little beauty is one of my favourite recent buys. I would never normally have chosen an item like this but I thought it was a little bit different and something out of my comfort zone. I think it's such a versatile bag as you can literally take it to the beach during the day and then use it at night when you go out for dinner. I cannot wait to take it on holiday now that I've *finally* booked to go away!

Primark White Chunky Trainers

I have been loving chunky trainers recently. I don't think I'm too confident for the more out there trainer but these white ones from Primark are perfect for putting with mom jeans or a lounge wear co-ord! They're so cheap too so definitely worth picking up a pair! See how I style them in my recent post.

Hair Clips

I never used to be one for hair accessories but they're all the rage at the moment and I'm obsessed with hairbands and statement clips at the moment. I pick up mine from either Topshop or Primark but I've got some personalised slides coming from Ebay for Glasto which I'll be featuring in an upcoming festival hairstyles post so stay tuned for those!

What have you been loving throughout April? Is there anything you recommend?
