REVIEW: PRIMARK DESERT QUEEN EYESHADOW PALETTE

I love Primark's makeup range. It's SO affordable and the products I've tried so far have always been good quality for the price. I recently picked up the Desert Queen Palette on a recent trip to return something (yes, I did only go in for a return and came out £40 down!) and this palette caught my eye on display. The colours drew me to it because they're bright but still wearable shades and for £8 and 22 shades, I couldn't leave it behind!

The Packaging:

The packaging make the product look so much more expensive than it is. I love the gold detail and the grooved waves in the lid of the palette. It is made of a plastic and it's not the best quality ever but for the price you can't complain! It's the perfect travel size and it comes with a large mirror inside which is always so handy! It also comes with a double ended sponge tip applicator too (which I'd put straight in the bin!)

The Shades:

The palette consists of 9 matte shades and 13 shimmers and there are mostly orangey/browns and a few pink shades too.

First line from left to right:

Sands - Light beige golden satin
Opal - Iridescent white
Dune - Matte pink
Mirage - Iridescent copper
Sahara  - Matte brown
Scorpion - Iridescent copper

Second line from left to right:

Heat - Matte brick red
Paradise - Iridescent brown/red
Dream - Iridescent reddish pink
Citrine - Matte yellow
Sunset - Matte orange

Third line from left to right:

Savanna - Iridescent copper
Moonlight - Iridescent chocolate brown
Sandstorm - Medium brown
Fire - Bright orange shimmer
Camel -  Matte brown
Oasis - Brown shimmer

Fourth line from left to right:

Blaze - Matte rose
Scorched - Matte brown red
Illusion - Deep brown red shimmer
Midnight - Plum
Earth - Matte dark brown

Overall, the shades have good pigmentation and apply smoothly on the eye. They are buildable but also bright when applied. I love the orange shades, particularly for summer - they look amazing with tanned skin! There is some fallout under the eye but for the price, you really can't complain!

Have you tried this palette before or any other products from the Primark beauty range? What would you recommend?
