TRANSITIONAL AUTUMNAL OUTFITS

[This post contains gifted items]

Hello, I'm back and it's nearly October, which to me means one thing only ... Autumn is officially upon us *and I'm SO excited*.

If you've been here for a while then you'll know that I absolutely love this time of year and get so excited for Halloween and Christmas. Everything about the autumn season makes me happy; I love the colours, the scents and the weather. You literally can't beat being tucked up in cosy clothes on the sofa with a blanket, a mug of hot chocolate and some biscuits!!! Anyway as I'm already getting so excited for the colder months, I've been gathering some bits and pieces to add to my autumn/winter wardrobe and thought I'd show you a few of my favourite day and night outfits so you can get a bit of inspiration!

Day Outfits:

I'm a big big fan of blazers, particularly check ones and Primark do some amazing affordable options. I found this lightweight long line blazer a few weeks back which is the perfect blazer. You can dress it up or down and wear it with so many different things. My favourite way to wear it is with MOM  style jeans (these ones are also from Primark) along with some White Chunky Trainers and an autumnal Burgundy top. For accessories, I'd add my black backpack and velvet headband.

I am obsessed with wearing chunky trainers and this pair* from CuCu are no exception! I love the monochrome detail and the big chunky heel and they go so well with anything. I love to style them with a pair of ripped jeans and a blouse and would add a check blazer for a transition from day to night. I would definitely recommend adding some chunky trainers into your wardobe, such an easy item to spruce up any outfit!

Polka dot is one of my all time favourite prints and I've been more than obsessed with it recently. I was kindly sent this cute White Polka Dot Ruffle One Shoulder Dress* from Femme Luxe Finery and I think it's such a good transitional piece. You can wear it for a night out with bare legs and heels or add some black tights and chunky boots and make it autumnal. I will say this is quite see through so without the tights it's a bit too sheer for me but for £20.00 it's such a bargain. I'd also feel very uncomfortable wearing it without tights because I'm so tall but on any smaller gals, this would be perfect. I've added my Black Leather Jacket and Cross Body Bag too and I think it finishes off the outfit nicely.

Another firm favourite autumnal look of mine is a bit chunky jumper and my new favourite MOM jeans. I love the fit of these and they're so comfy to wear! I love pairing them with white chunky trainers, a big chunky pink jumper from primark and an oversized camel coat.

Evening Outfits:

For an evening outfit during the transitional period, I love a smart casual look. I'm a big fan of how a midi skirt with trainers can look so when I chose this Black Slinky Ruched Basic Co-Ord* from Femme Luxe I was so excited to see how it looked. Unfortunately I can't lie, I'm a bit dissapointed as the material is SO thin and see through. The crop top is far too small for my boobs and you'd never catch me out wearing that but I do think that the skirt with a slogan t-shirt actually looks quite cool. It was only £13.99 but I was expecting far better quality. You could also pair this midi skirt with an oversized slouchy jumper and your leather jacket too!

Ok so this is one of my favourite finds from Femme Luxe and one that I think will look amazing during the christmas party season. I love the colour red during the autumn months and this Red One Shoulder Slinky Midi Dress* which is only £18.99 ticks all the right boxes for me. Not only is it a midi dress (which is my favourite style dress for my shape and size), it's also ruched so hides the bits I am most conscious of which is great! I've paired this with black heels and my leather jacket and I love the way it looks. They do this dress in numerous colours too so I might have to pick another one up! This is definitely a much better quality than the midi co-ord.

Leather trousers for some reason scream autumn to me. I love the way they look with heeled boots or chunky trainers and a big soft jumper or a cute going out top. For this outfit, I've paired them with this Femme Luxe Stone Layered Mesh Ruffle Strappy Top* and my Aviator Jacket. I LOVE this look. It's so cute and girly and the neutral tones go really well together. To give the outfit that bit of an umph I'd do a red/bronzy eye makeup and a deep red lip! I can't wait to wear this outfit all the time!!
