I love brownies as a desert because you can eat them on their own hot, with a bit of vanilla ice cream and eat them cold the next day. It's also so easy to switch up this recipe by swapping out the Chocolate Orange for an alternative chocolate bar. I personally think that Galaxy would be amazing, or Oreo too!
Here's what you'll need:
- 9" square baking tin
- 90g Plain Flour
- 275g Caster Sugar
- 35g Cocoa Powder
- 195g Stork Butter
- 195g Milk Chocolate, Chopped Up (You could use any chocolate you like)
- 4 Medium Eggs
- Zest of 1 Large Orange or 2 Small
- 2x Terry's Chocolate Orange, Chopped Up (157g)

Method:
1. Preheat your oven to 180C or 160C for a fan oven and line a 9" square baking tray with baking paper.2. Melt the Butter and Chocolate in a heatproof bowl either in the microwave for 1-2 minutes (be careful you don't burn the chocolate - always do shorter bursts and keep mixing) or over a saucepan of boiling water until melted. Once fully melted, leave the mixture to cool down to room temperature whilst you do the next step.
3. Whisk together the Eggs and Sugar using either an electric or handheld whisk until the mixture has a mousse like texture and is smooth.
4. Next, pour the cooled chocolate over the Eggs and Sugar and use the folding technique to carefully mix.
4. Next, pour the cooled chocolate over the Eggs and Sugar and use the folding technique to carefully mix.
5. Once the mixture has combined, carefully sift the cocoa powder and flour and add the orange zest before folding together, using the same technique as earlier.
6. When everything is mixed together, fold the Chocolate Orange chunks into the mixture and pour it evenly into the lined baking tin. Bake for 25-30 minutes, checking half way through. Check the mixture is cooked through by poking a knife through the centre to check it runs clear. Before leaving to cool, add a couple of Chocolate Orange chunks to the top of your brownies and decorate as desired. Cut into squares and enjoy! They are delicious served warm with vanilla ice cream on top!

Seriously, if you haven't tried these before, do it! You will not regret it, they are delicious! They also make a really cute Christmas gift too. Bake them on Christmas eve and package them in a cute tin.
