MY TOP 5 SMART CASUAL OUTFITS

[This post contains gifted items]

I don't know about you but I love wearing smart casual outfits! I do love getting dressed up every now and again but I'd much prefer to be comfy when it comes to what I wear. In today's post, I thought I'd share with you my top 5 current go to smart casual outfits in the hope it might give you some inspiration.

Outfit 1 - A Jumper Dress and Chunky Boots

I absolutely love jumper dresses during this time of year. They are so easy to chuck on whilst still looking like you've made an effort with your outfit. I love this khaki jumper dress from Sainsburys which has a ribbed material and is a midi size length. It's the perfect outfit to wear with chunky boots and an quirky jacket. I also love this Tan ribbed wrap bat wing bodycon mini dress* which is so cute with the added detailing in the sleeves.

Outfit 2 - A Black Jumpsuit with Chunky Trainers

I have a love hate relationship with jumpsuits. They look so nice on but they can be so inconvenient when on a night out (it's difficult to undo your zip alone in the toilet)! That being said, I still wear them all the time and think they're quite flattering on my body shape. I love to pair my black jumpsuit (similar one here) with white chunky trainers and a black cross body bag. They are so versatile as you can dress them up or down and wear them on pretty much any occasion!

Outfit 3 - A Smock Dress, Leather Trousers and Chunky Boots

One of my favourite dresses at the minute is this Zara Pom Pom smock dress. I have it in both black and khaki and wear them all the time! I love to wear mine with my leather trousers and chunky boots but sometimes pair it with tights or leggings. I would say the dress comes up quite short on me as I'm 5 ft 9 but I still love it. I hope they bring it out in loads of other colours too as I'd 100% buy them!

Outfit 4 - Jeans and a nice Jacket:

I think jeans and a nice top is such a great smart casual outfit choice and I often gravitate towards outfits like this. I love wearing my blue ripped jeans from Matalan with a top or blouse and then add a cute jacket to spice it up. My go to jacket at the minute is this Stone long sleeve belted utility cargo jacket* from Femme Luxe. It's a great transitional piece and very on trend at the minute and I'm obsessed with how it looks with the belt.

Outfit 5 - Little Black Dress with Chunky Trainers:

This outfit is definitely one that is more out of my comfort zone and not something I'd wear every day but as it's my birthday in a few weeks I thought this Black glitter sequin mesh overlay bodycon midaxi dress* could look really cute for my birthday meal. I've paired it with my go to white chunky trainers and the coolest denim jacket which I got for Christmas. The jacket gives me all sorts of Glastonbury vibes and the sparkly dress is fun yet casual paired with trainers. You could definitely dress this up for a night out by wearing heels too so it's really versatile and so cheap for £8.99!
